My friends at work said that this was their favorite look yet. The dress is from Maurices, the shirt is from JCPennys, the tights are from Wal*Mart, and the shoes are from Payless. Everyone said that they liked my make-up the best today too. Although personally I hated the eye shadow I used. My friend also told me to try pink/nude lips, so what do you think!?

I am in the market for some eye shadow pallets. I made a rookie mistake over the weekend and went to H&M to buy make-up. In my defense I did look at the reviews online. However I guess we can chalk this experience up as another example where people lie on the internet.
Like I said, my birthday is in 13 days. So Steve made a deal with me that I can either spend $60 and be able to wear my presents now, or I can spend $75 and wait to use them on my birthday. Which I am going to have to talk to Steve about this because normally I am able to spend a lot more money on my birthday. I take birthdays very seriously you know. And if case you failed to grasp my not so subtle remarks, my birthday is in 13 days, and I love presents.
Speaking of that I am going to have to try and figure out how I want to spend my birthday. It is my golden birthday! I'm turning 25 on the 25th. Maybe Cleopatra themed.
Anyways back to the H&M eyes shadow.
That was everything that I have bought so far for the glorious day of my birth. The eye shadow was the worst. It didn't even show up when I got my brush wet. In hindsight I should have known that anything coming from H&M would be questionable. I just thought that the colors were pretty and the price looked right. So if anyone has some recommendations for good eye shadow pallets please let me know! And hopefully some cheaper ones because I am not in the mood to spend all of my birthday money on the Naked pallet when I will probably only use three colors.

First off, you are so adorable! Your blog is so fun to read and I love hearing about your new beauty adventures.
ReplyDeleteI am no beauty guru or anything but I have been using two eye shadow palettes that I really love so if you are looking for palettes I would fully recommend these.
The first is by NYX. It's the dream catcher palette in Dusk til Dawn. I have used it dry and wet and it works great either way. It's a 10 color palette of neutrals but they are really pretty and the pigmentation is awesome! Very easy to use.
The second is a smaller one but still worth every penny in my book. It's found at Target. It's the Sonia Kashuk eye quad in Fair and Square. The colors in this one are so pretty and easy to use and blend together that you really can't go wrong. :)
Good luck with your fun makeup and fashion adventures. Keep posting! I love reading your blog! Hopefully we can see you guys again soon. :)
Thank you so much!! I will definitely try those out! I actually went and bought a NYX eye shadow pallet on Saturday. Steve hid it so I can't open it until my birthday, so I will have to wait until Sunday to tell you what it is called. I know it is mostly neutrals though. I am way excited that you like their pallets though!
ReplyDeleteThank you and I hope we see you guys soon as well!
