NYX

So my first thought was to apologize that I haven't blogged in a week, but then I realized that probably no one has been staying awake at night wondering where my blogs have been. So I take it back. I'm not sorry.

In truth it was report card week. Although the new semester for my masters program starts on Tuesday, so there is a great chance that I might only be blogging on the weekends.

Just a reminder to everyone that my birthday is one week from today. I repeat, one week from today I will be celebrating the glorious day of my birth in case you want to throw a special phone call my way and sing me Happy Birthday.

I actually did something beautiful today, and I got a Birthday Cake Oreo Blizzard. I probably shouldn't be advertising that out loud given the ever growing size of my buttox. But it was delicious and I didn't finish all of it. So what now.

I have decided to take up Steve's offer, and while I am picking out my presents and buying them ahead of time, I am not going to use them until my actual birthday. I know this sounds crazy, but I think I can finally say that I have enough clothes. For those of you that don't know, I have so many clothes that I had to take the spare bedroom and transform it into a walk-in closet. And even then I have more clothes and shoes than that room can fit. I think it finally hit me when I student asked me why I wore the same pair of pants everyday. And the truth of the matter is that I'm not wearing the same pair of pants everyday, I just own 10 pairs of black leggings. So I have decided to cool it on the oversized sweaters and infinity scarves and this year I am buying make-up and jewelry.

Yesterday Steve and I went to Ulta and we checked out NYX make-up, then we went to Pennys and I got some earrings. I am really excited about NYX and I can't wait to try them out. I saw they had everything I used from Sephora like finishing powder and tinted moisturizer, however it was like, way cheaper. So I am super excited. When I run out of my current stuff I'll get the NYX products and I'll let you guys know how I like them. A lot of the beauty YouTubers I have been watching say nothing but excellent things about NYX products.

I also discovered the secret between the mascara brushes! My friend sent me a link so the curvy brush is for if you want to curl your lashes on the ends, and the straight brush is for if you want more volume. I guess I could have figured that out by common sense. My friend also helped me discover the mystery lip color! We believe it is fire cracker, however when I went to order it I fell in love with another color, so I went to order the lipstick in coral instead.

Anyways this was my look for yesterday. I bust out the hair extensions again, although at this point my hair has grown out to the point where the extensions add more body than length.

 

I didn't get a good OOTD for today because I do believe I am the victim of strep throat yet again. I spent two hours in Urgent Care today just for them to tell me that I came in too early and they will have to wait 48 hours to test my swab sample. In the meantime I'm just drinking tea, gargling salt water, and re-writing my will.
